AI and ML in the Benelux

The annual Benelux Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning has decades-long history of bringing together researchers and practitioners from all fields of AI to exchange novel scientific findings, as well as new developments in applied AI, business, and industry.

During the scientific part of the conference, students and researchers present papers, extended abstracts of recent scientific publications, and Bachelor/Master theses. Additionally, keynote speakers share the newest insights from the world of AI, researchers present posters, and both academics and companies present demonstrations of AI products and systems. Naturally, there is ample opportunity for networking.

BNAIC/Benelearn 2020 in Leiden: more interaction between industry, society, and academia

The introduction of a dedicated industry day during last year’s BNAIC/Benelearn in Brussels was a great success. With over 240 academic tickets and almost 90 business tickets sold, the participants of BNAIC/Benelearn 2019 formed a rich mix of AI researchers and professionals from the Benelux. With 61 Bachelor/Master students and 89 PhD students, the next generation was very well represented in Brussels.

The 32nd edition of BNAIC/Benelearn, which was initially organized in Leiden on 19 & 20 November 2020 will be held online due to the current Covid-19 situation. We aim to bring the interaction between industry, society, and academia to the next level. We will again offer a society and industry track, this time including an opportunity for companies to present tutorials on their software, for participants from both industry, society, and academia to attend. We also aim to organise speed dates, where companies can meet young researchers and students.
